Ah, the original Super Smash Bros. on N64—where it all began. You pick Mario, Link, Pikachu, or one of the other Nintendo legends, and suddenly you're tossing Kirby off Dream Land or getting wrecked by Falcon's knee in Hyrule Castle. No complicated combos here—just pure, chaotic fun where even a well-timed poke can send someone flying.
The stages are wild (that rotating Sector Z platform still gives me anxiety), and the items? Absolute mayhem. One second you're winning, the next someone grabs a Hammer and flattens you. And good luck explaining to friends why Jigglypuff's Rest move is secretly OP.
It's janky by today's standards, but there's something magic about the simplicity. Four players, one CRT TV, and a lot of yelling. Still holds up if you're into that raw, unfiltered party brawl vibe.
