Nintama Rantarou GB - Eawase Challenge Puzzle is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that never left Japan. It's a tile-matching puzzle game based on the Nintama Rantarou anime (you know, the ninja school kids?). The gameplay's simple at first—just flip tiles to match the ninja students—but gets surprisingly tricky when the boards get bigger and obstacles pop up.
What I like is how it mixes classic mahjong solitaire vibes with the show's goofy charm. The sprites are tiny but full of personality, and there's something satisfying about clearing a whole board while those little ninja trainees cheer. The music's got that classic Game Boy bleep-bloop energy too. Not gonna lie, some later levels had me stuck for way longer than I'd like to admit.
If you're into obscure puzzle games or grew up with the anime, it's a neat little time capsule. Just don't expect anything groundbreaking—it's comfort food for your thumbs.
