Ninku Dai 2 is one of those Game Boy gems that feels like it was made just for fans of the anime. You jump right into the action as one of the Ninku warriors, slashing through enemies with these satisfyingly chunky ninja moves—think fireballs, spinning kicks, and the occasional "wait, how did I even pull that off?" combo.
The levels are short but surprisingly tough—you’ll dodge traps, fight mini-bosses that actually make you sweat, and yeah, probably die a few times before figuring out the timing. The sprites are tiny but full of personality, especially when your character does their little victory pose after clearing a stage.
If you grew up with the anime, spotting the references is half the fun. If not, it’s still a solid action-platformer with that classic Game Boy "easy to pick up, hard to put down" energy. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
