About Ninja Hattori Kun - Ninja Ha Syugyou De Gozaru (japan)
Ninja Hattori Kun: Ninja Ha Syugyou De Gozaru came out in 1986 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, developed and published by Hudson Soft. It was one of many action platformers on the NES, based on the popular anime, and it never saw a release outside of Japan.
You control the young ninja, Hattori Kun, navigating side scrolling stages. Your goal is to rescue your friend, Kenichi, who has been kidnapped. You run, jump across platforms, and use your ninja sword to defeat enemy ninjas and other foes. A key mechanic is the ability to cling to certain walls and ceilings, which lets you bypass hazards or find alternate routes. You also collect scrolls scattered throughout the levels. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the challenge comes from precise platforming and enemy placement. Playing it feels like a quick, straightforward test of your reflexes and timing.
