Ninja Boy 2 is one of those NES games that looks simple at first—you're just a little ninja running and jumping through side-scrolling levels—but it gets surprisingly tricky. The controls feel a little stiff compared to something like Mario, but once you get used to them, throwing shurikens and dodging enemies becomes second nature.
What I like is how the game mixes things up—one minute you're platforming, the next you're in this weird top-down view fighting waves of enemies. The music’s got that classic NES charm too, all bouncy and repetitive in the best way. It’s not the deepest game out there, but if you’re into old-school action with a ninja twist, it’s a solid pick.
