Alright, so Ninja Boy 2 is basically the Game Boy sequel we didn’t know we needed. You’re still sneaking around, throwing shurikens, and pulling off those sweet ninja flips—but everything’s just a little tighter this time. The sprites are sharper, the levels throw more curveballs at you, and yeah, you’ll probably die a few times figuring out the best way to clear a room full of enemies.
What I like? The weapons feel weightier—katanas slice cleaner, kunai actually stick where you throw them. And the new enemy types? Some of them actually dodge your attacks, which is annoying (in a good way). If you played the first one, you’ll notice the little upgrades right away. If you didn’t? Doesn’t matter. Just jump in and stab stuff.
Fair warning: that one boss with the chain whip still gives me nightmares.
