Nemesis on the Game Boy is basically Gradius in your pocket—same power-up system, same satisfying weapon upgrades, same "why did I just fly into that bullet?" moments. Konami crammed bits of Gradius 1 and 2 in here, tweaked some levels, and called it a day. Not a straight port, but close enough that you’ll recognize the Moai heads and those snake-like boss fights.

Weirdly, this one only hit North America and Japan—Europe got the actual Gradius name instead. The screen’s tiny, sure, but the chunky sprites and that classic Konami shooter feel make it worth digging out your Game Boy. Just don’t expect to beat it on your lunch break.
