About Nekketsu Kouha Kunio Kun (japan)
Nekketsu Kouha Kunio Kun came out in Japan for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987, developed by Technos Japan Corp. It was part of that wave of early NES brawlers that established a simple, direct style of play, focusing more on street fights than on fantasy adventures.
You control Kunio, a high school delinquent, as you walk through the city beating up rival gang members. The main goal is to fight your way to the final boss, cleaning up each area you enter. The game progresses screen by screen; you punch and kick your opponents, and you can pick up weapons like bats and chains left on the ground. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty is unforgiving, with enemies that attack in groups and require quick reflexes to defeat.
