Nekketsu Kouha Kunio Kun is that classic NES brawler where you play as Kunio, a hot-headed high schooler who punches first and asks questions never. The streets are packed with rival gangs, and your fists (and occasionally a baseball bat) are the only diplomacy you need.
Right from the start, you're thrown into chaotic sidewalk brawls—dodging bikes, kicking dudes into traffic, and occasionally teaming up with a buddy to double-team some poor schmuck. The sprites are chunky, the hits feel satisfyingly weighty, and the whole thing has that weirdly specific '80s Japanese delinquent vibe. Just watch out for the cops—they hit harder than your math teacher’s ruler.
It’s basically River City Ransom’s rougher, less polished cousin, but that’s part of the charm.
