Nekketsu! Beach Volley Dayo Kunio-kun is one of those weird, hyperactive Game Boy spinoffs from the Kunio-kun series—you know, the same guys from River City Ransom. This time, they’ve traded in baseball bats and street fights for… beach volleyball? Yeah, it’s as chaotic as it sounds.

You pick from a bunch of tiny, angry-looking sprites (classic Kunio-kun style) and just start whacking the ball back and forth. The controls are simple—dive, spike, serve—but the physics are ridiculous. The ball flies way too fast, players trip over each other, and the whole thing feels like volleyball on caffeine. There’s even a weird power-up system where you can suddenly spike harder if you mash buttons at the right time.

It’s not deep, but it’s got that same dumb charm as the rest of the series. If you’re into retro sports games that don’t take themselves seriously, this one’s a fun little time-waster.
