You control different characters depending on the game you select, from a ship in Galaxian to a yellow circle in Dig Dug. The main objective is simply to play through each included game, aiming for high scores and surviving as long as possible. Signature mechanics vary: in Galaxian, you maneuver your ship at the bottom of the screen, dodging enemy dive-bomb attacks and returning fire. In Dig Dug, you tunnel through dirt, inflating enemies with a pump until they pop. The pacing is generally quick, and the difficulty can ramp up sharply, especially in the shooters.
