Namco Classic (japan) Game

Namco Classic on the Game Boy is one of those weird little time capsules—it’s a Japan-only collection of Namco arcade ports, but not the ones you’d expect. No Pac-Man here. Instead, you get stuff like Dragon Buster (a clunky but charming early action-RPG) and Battle City (tank battles that feel better suited to two players, but good luck finding someone with a link cable).
The controls take some getting used to—everything feels just a tiny bit sluggish, like the Game Boy’s hardware was struggling to keep up. But there’s something oddly satisfying about playing these obscure arcade oddities on the go, even if they’re not the most polished versions. If you’re into retro curiosities, it’s a neat little piece of gaming history.
