NFL Quarterback Club 98 was one of those mid-tier N64 football games that didn’t get as much hype as Madden, but it had its own charm. The rosters are straight out of the '97 season, so if you’re nostalgic for that era, it’s a fun throwback—though good luck finding your favorite player with those early 3D models.
The weather effects actually mattered, too. Slipping on rain-soaked turf or throwing into heavy wind changed how you played, which was pretty cool for the time. The AI wasn’t perfect—some plays felt way too easy to exploit—but it kept you on your toes more than you’d expect.
It’s not the smoothest football sim out there, but if you’re into retro sports games, it’s got enough depth to keep you entertained for a few quarters.
