NFL Quarterback Club 2000 was one of those N64 football games that tried to go toe-to-toe with Madden—and honestly, it held its own. The first thing you notice is how smooth the animations are for a late '90s football sim. Players actually look like they're running, not gliding across the field. And the stadiums? Spot-on recreations, right down to the end zone paint.
What I liked was the playbook depth—way more options than I expected, especially for audibles and hot routes. Took me a few games to stop throwing interceptions on every other play, but once you get the timing down, those deep bombs feel legit. The commentary’s a little repetitive, but hey, it was 2000. Still fun to fire up for some couch multiplayer if you’ve got a buddy who remembers the Clinton administration.
