NFL Quarterback Club 2000 was one of those late '90s football games that tried to go toe-to-toe with Madden—and honestly, it held its own. The first thing you notice is how much smoother the animations are compared to earlier N64 sports titles. You’ve got all the big-name QBs of the era, and the playbooks are surprisingly deep for a game this old.
What I liked? The AI actually adjusts if you keep spamming the same plays, so you can’t just cheese your way through. And the multiplayer? Classic couch-competitive stuff—nothing like watching your buddy fumble a Hail Mary because they got too cocky. The graphics won’t blow anyone away now, but back then, those player models felt legit.
It’s not perfect—the commentary gets repetitive fast, and the controls take a minute to click—but if you’re into retro sports games, this one’s a solid time capsule.
