NBA Live 2000 on N64 was one of those games that made you feel like you were actually calling the shots on the court—even if the graphics look a little blocky now. You jump right into quick matches with all the big names from that era (Iverson, Shaq, Kobe), and the controls are simple enough that you can pull off crossovers and alley-oops without memorizing a ton of button combos.
The season mode is where it gets addictive. You tweak lineups, deal with player fatigue, and try not to get wrecked by the Lakers. The commentary’s repetitive after a while, but the gameplay’s smooth, and there’s something satisfying about nailing a last-second three-pointer with Ray Allen. Definitely a solid pickup if you’re into old-school sports games.
