About Nba Jam (usa, Europe)
NBA Jam on the Game Boy came out in 1994, a portable version of the arcade hit handled by Iguana Entertainment. It was one of those games you'd see on the school bus, a pocket-sized dose of basketball during a time when getting a full sports experience on the small screen was still a novelty.
You control a team of two NBA players, running up and down the court to score baskets. The main goal is to beat the opposing team, but the real fun comes from the exaggerated style. You can perform turbo-charged dunks, go on fire after making several shots in a row, and shove opponents with a dedicated button. The game moves quickly, and the difficulty ramps up noticeably as you progress through the tournaments. It feels fast and chaotic, a perfect fit for short bursts of play.
