About Nba Jam - Tournament Edition (japan)
Iguana Entertainment released NBA Jam Tournament Edition for the Game Boy in 1995, a portable version of the chaotic arcade basketball game. It arrived when sports titles on the handheld were often simplified, but this one tried to pack in the over-the-top action of its bigger console cousins.
You control a team of two NBA players, running up and down a condensed court to score baskets and stop your opponent. The main goal is to win each match and progress through the tournament brackets. Signature mechanics include the turbo button for sudden bursts of speed and the ability to perform exaggerated dunks that make the backboard shake. Stealing the ball and shoving opponents are common, necessary tactics in the fast-paced, physical gameplay. It is a challenging game where the computer can mount fierce comebacks, keeping every match tense until the final buzzer.
