Mysterium Game

Mysterium on Game Boy is one of those weird little gems that makes you go, "Wait, how did this not get more attention?" You wake up in this eerie, pixelated mansion with nothing but a flickering lantern and some seriously unsettling music. The first puzzle hits you fast—some cryptic symbols on a wall, a locked door, and zero hand-holding.
What I love is how it nails that "alone in the dark" vibe despite the hardware limits. You’ll poke at paintings, find hidden switches, and scribble notes like an actual detective (seriously, keep paper handy). The puzzles start simple but get devious fast—one wrong move and you might miss a clue forever. And that chiptune soundtrack? Perfectly spooky.
It’s not perfect—the controls feel a bit stiff now, and some solutions are downright obscure. But if you’re into atmospheric, think-on-your-feet adventures, this one’s a trip worth taking. Just don’t blame me when you’re still trying to decode that final riddle at 3 AM.
