About Muppet Adventure - Chaos At The Carnival
Muppet Adventure: Chaos at the Carnival came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed by Mind's Eye. It was one of those licensed games that showed up during the later part of the NES lifespan, trying to capture the charm of Jim Henson's characters in a side scrolling format.
You control Kermit the Frog, moving screen by screen through a carnival to rescue the other Muppets. Your main goal is to find Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, and the rest, who are hidden in various attractions. You jump between platforms, avoid enemies like chickens and rats, and collect items such as hearts for health and balloons that act as a currency for extra lives. The game can feel quite slow because Kermit's movement is deliberate, and the level design is repetitive. Navigating the carnival grounds requires patience, especially with the limited attack options and occasional leaps of faith. Playing it feels like a straightforward, if sometimes plodding, trip through a familiar world.
