Mr. Do! on the Game Boy is this weirdly charming little arcade throwback where you play as a clown—not the creepy kind, thankfully—digging tunnels and dropping apples on monsters. It’s like Dig Dug’s slightly unhinged cousin.
You’ve got two ways to clear a level: either grab every last cherry scattered around the maze or take out all the enemies. I usually go for the cherry hunt first, but sometimes you just gotta squash those critters with a well-timed apple drop. The controls are simple, but the monsters get sneaky fast, especially when they start turning into these angry, bouncing versions of themselves.
It’s one of those games where you think “just one more try” at 2 AM. The clown’s little run animation still cracks me up.
