Mortal Kombat Trilogy on N64 is basically the ultimate '90s fighting game mashup—everyone from Scorpion to Kintaro shows up, and the roster feels ridiculously huge even now. The second you boot it up, you're hit with that crunchy digitized sound and those hilariously stiff animations that somehow still feel satisfying.
What makes it weirdly fun is how over-the-top everything is. You’ve got fatalities that take way too many button inputs to pull off (good luck nailing them without a cheat sheet), and this weird "Aggressor" mode that speeds up the combat when you’re on a roll. It’s janky, the graphics haven’t aged gracefully, but there’s something about chaining uppercuts with Liu Kang that just clicks. Perfect for when you want to relive that arcade-era chaos with a buddy on the couch.
