Mortal Kombat on Game Boy is exactly what you’d expect—a tiny, slightly janky version of the arcade classic, but somehow it still works. The sprites are chunky, the controls take some getting used to, and yeah, the blood is mysteriously absent (thanks, Nintendo). But Scorpion’s spear still connects with that satisfying *thwip*, and pulling off a fatality with those stiff little buttons feels weirdly rewarding.
You’ve got the usual suspects—Sub-Zero freezing people mid-jump, Raiden zapping around like a glitchy thunder god—but don’t expect the full roster. It’s more like "Mortal Kombat: Pocket Edition." Still, if you’re stuck on a long car ride in 1993, this’ll do just fine. Just don’t blame me when your thumbs cramp up.
