About Monster Truck Rally
Monster Truck Rally came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, published by INTV Corporation. It was part of that wave of NES games trying to capture the spectacle of big vehicles, a straightforward racing title without much pretense.
You control a monster truck from a top-down perspective, racing against the clock or another truck on circuits filled with dirt and obstacles. Your main goal is to finish first or beat the time limit. The signature mechanics involve navigating tight, twisting tracks and using your truck's high suspension to drive over smaller obstacles that would stop a normal car. The game moves at a quick pace, and the handling is slippery, making sharp turns difficult to master without practice. It feels like a constant fight to keep your truck pointed in the right direction while the clock ticks down.
