Monopoly on the NES is exactly what you'd expect—classic property-hoarding chaos, but with a Japanese twist. The board's all in Japanese, of course, and the properties are local landmarks instead of Atlantic City streets. It's still the same ruthless capitalism simulator, just with kanji.
What's cool is that it plays smoother than the tabletop version—no arguing over who messed up the math on rent. The AI can be brutal though; one wrong move and the computer players will bleed you dry. And yeah, it's got some weird little quirks, like the fact that the music loops endlessly until you want to rip your ears off. Still, if you're into retro board game ports, this one's a solid time-waster.
Just don't expect your friendships to survive if you play it multiplayer.
