Monaco Grand Prix on N64 is one of those racing sims that actually feels like you're wrestling with a real car—not just holding down accelerate and hoping for the best. The physics are weighty, so if you slam into a barrier at Monaco’s tight corners (and you will), your car doesn’t just bounce off like a toy. You’ll feel every scrape and spin.
The tracks are surprisingly detailed for an N64 game, especially the rain-slicked versions where your tires actually struggle for grip. I remember spending way too long just trying to nail the braking points at Suzuka’s S-curves. And yeah, the AI isn’t messing around—they’ll shove past you if you leave an inch open.
Multiplayer’s where it really shines, though. Nothing like watching your friend’s car fishtail wildly after they botch a downshift. Just don’t expect flashy graphics—this is pure, slightly janky, late-’90s sim racing at its most sincere.
