Momotarou Collection is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that never left Japan—which is a shame, because it’s a surprisingly solid RPG with that classic 90s charm. You start off as Momotarou (you know, the peach boy from Japanese folklore), recruiting animal allies and slowly building a party to take down some demons. The battles are simple turn-based stuff, but there’s something satisfying about the way your team grows, especially when you stumble onto a rare character.
Graphics are typical Game Boy fare—chunky sprites, basic backgrounds—but the music’s got that nostalgic bleep-bloop energy. If you’re into retro RPGs or just curious about Japan-only releases, this one’s a fun time-waster. Just don’t expect a deep story or anything groundbreaking.
