You control Muddy Mole, a father digging through fields and dungeons to rescue his family from the farmer Jinbe. The goal is straightforward: solve the puzzles on each screen to reach the exit and advance. Your main tool is digging through the soft dirt, but you also learn to push heavy black balls to crush enemies or block pathways. Each area is a self contained puzzle box, demanding you figure out the correct sequence of digs and pushes to proceed. The game starts simply but the difficulty builds steadily, introducing new obstacles and enemies that require quick thinking.
