Mitsume GaTooru is one of those weird, kinda janky NES action-platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this kid with a third eye (yeah, seriously) who shoots lasers from his forehead while jumping through these surreal, maze-like levels. The controls take some getting used to—your jumps feel floaty at first, and the hitboxes are... questionable. But once it clicks, there's something oddly satisfying about blasting enemies with your psychic eye beam while dodging spikes and weird floating heads.

The art style's got that classic NES charm—bright colors, blocky sprites, and backgrounds that look like someone's trippy nightmare. The music's surprisingly catchy too, especially the boss theme. Just don't expect it to hold your hand—this is one of those games where you'll die a lot before figuring out the patterns. If you're into obscure retro games with a side of WTF, it's worth a look.
