Mission Impossible on N64 is basically you trying to be Ethan Hunt with blocky polygons—and honestly, it kinda works. You start off sneaking through some embassy with that classic N64 fog hiding the draw distance, picking locks and knocking out guards in the most awkwardly animated way possible. The controls take some getting used to (why is crouching so finicky?), but once you get the hang of it, there’s something satisfying about setting up distractions and crawling through vents like a budget superspy.
The missions get pretty involved—you’ll disarm bombs, swap disguises mid-chase, and occasionally panic when you realize you triggered an alarm for no reason. The soundtrack nails that tense spy vibe, even if the voice acting sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. It’s janky in that nostalgic way, but if you’re into stealth games that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a weirdly charming time capsule.
