Mission Cobra is one of those NES shooters that doesn’t mess around—you’re in a helicopter, dodging bullets from enemy jets right from the start. The controls are tight, but those patrol choppers? Brutal. You’ll weave through waves of fire just to get a shot at the motherships, which basically throw everything at you—missiles, drones, you name it.

What I love is how fast it escalates. One minute you’re picking off fighters, the next you’re threading through a gauntlet of turrets. And that turbo boost? Lifesaver, but timing it wrong means eating a faceful of lasers. It’s old-school punishing, but in that satisfying way where every run feels a little cleaner.
