Mirai Senshi - Lios (japan) Game

Mirai Senshi - Lios is one of those obscure NES gems that never made it outside Japan, which is a shame because it's a solid little action-platformer with a weirdly cool vibe. You play as Lios, this futuristic warrior dude who jumps around shooting energy blasts at robots and mutants—standard '80s anime fare, but the controls are surprisingly tight for an NES game.
The first stage throws you right into it: you're dodging floating orbs, hopping over pits, and figuring out how your charge shot works (hold the button longer for bigger blasts, obviously). The music's got that classic chiptune energy, and the sprites are way more detailed than you'd expect—Lios even has this slick little cape animation when he jumps.
It's not perfect—some enemy patterns feel cheap until you memorize them, and good luck reading the Japanese text if you don't know the language. But if you're into retro action games that flew under the radar, this one's worth a few playthroughs.
