Okay, so The Miracle Piano Teaching System is this weirdly ambitious NES game that actually came with its own MIDI keyboard. You plug it in, and suddenly your NES is trying to teach you piano for real—scales, sheet music, even little minigames where you play along with on-screen notes.
It’s not just some gimmick either. The lessons ramp up from "Hot Cross Buns" to legit classical pieces, and the keyboard’s weighted enough to feel kinda real. I remember getting stuck on the rhythm exercises because my timing was awful, but the game actually calls you out when you mess up. Harsh, but helpful.
Honestly, it’s more of a teaching tool than a game, but if you ever wanted to learn piano in the ‘90s and only had a Nintendo, this was your best shot. Still weirdly impressive for an NES peripheral.
