Mini 4 Boy is one of those weird little Game Boy titles that never left Japan, but honestly? It’s got charm. You’re basically racing tiny cars on these cramped, top-down tracks—think Micro Machines but even more stripped down. The controls are simple, just dodge traffic and hit the checkpoints, but the later stages get surprisingly chaotic.

First time I played, I thought it’d be a breeze, but those narrow alleys and sudden traffic jams wrecked me. The music’s got that classic Game Boy bleep-bloop energy, and the car sprites are so blocky they’re almost cute. Not gonna lie, it’s janky in places, but that’s part of the fun.

If you’re into obscure retro racers, this one’s a neat curiosity. Just don’t expect anything polished.
