Mindseeker (japan) Game

Mindseeker is this weird little NES sci-fi adventure that never made it out of Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got this eerie, almost cyberpunk vibe going on. You play as a detective with psychic powers, solving crimes by reading minds and digging through memories. The pixel art’s surprisingly moody for an NES game, with these flickering neon cityscapes and creepy dream sequences.
Gameplay’s a mix of point-and-click style puzzles and turn-based psychic battles. At first, I had no idea what I was doing—half the menus are in kanji, and the mind-reading mechanic takes some trial and error. But once it clicks, there’s something oddly satisfying about piecing together clues from someone’s scrambled thoughts. Just don’t expect fast action—it’s more about atmosphere and slow-burn mystery.
If you’re into obscure retro games with a weird edge, this one’s worth dusting off a translation guide for.
