Milon no Meikyuu Kumikyoku is one of those weird, charming Game Boy puzzle-platformers that feels like it got lost in translation—in a good way. You play as Milon, this little guy who shoots bubbles to trap enemies and solve puzzles. At first, it seems simple, but then the maze-like levels start throwing curveballs at you, like hidden doors and switches that only open if you’ve cleared certain rooms.
The music’s got that classic chiptune vibe, and the controls are tight, though some of the jumps can be a little unforgiving. If you’re into retro games that make you think (and occasionally backtrack), this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t be surprised if you get stuck staring at the same screen for way too long trying to figure out where to go next.
