About Millipede
Millipede came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988, developed by General Computer Corporation. It was part of that wave of arcade style shooters that felt right at home on the NES, a straightforward challenge you could pick up and play without a long manual.
You control a small ship, called the Blaster, confined to the bottom section of the screen. Your goal is to destroy the millipede as it winds its way down from the top, segment by segment. You also have to manage the other bugs and mushrooms that fill the playfield; shooting a mushroom creates a permanent obstacle, while destroying certain enemies can temporarily clear them. The game gets faster and more crowded as you progress, demanding quick reflexes and careful shooting to avoid being overwhelmed. It feels tense and immediate, a constant test of your aim and positioning under pressure.
