Okay, so this is that classic Power Rangers Game Boy game where you pick one of the teens—Jason, Zack, Billy, you know the crew—and run through levels smacking Putties with basic punches and kicks. Feels a little stiff at first, but then boom, halfway through you morph and suddenly you’ve got your Ranger weapon (sword! axe! daggers!) and everything just clicks.
Natsume nailed that 16-bit vibe—bright colors, chunky sprites, and those satisfying enemy explosions. Boss fights are exactly what you’d hope: Goldar’s a pain if you don’t time your jumps right, and Rita’s floating head shows up to talk trash. It’s short, yeah, but for a licensed game in ’94? Way better than it had any right to be.
Just don’t expect deep combat—this is pure button-mashing nostalgia with a killer soundtrack.
