It was a Bandai release, one of many licensed games from that era trying to capture the energy of the show and the film on the small screen. You control one of the five Rangers, switching between them to use their specific weapons like the Power Axe or Power Bow. The main goal is to fight through Ivan Ooze's minions across different levels, from the city streets to his lair. The gameplay is straightforward: you move screen by screen, clearing all the enemies before you can proceed. You collect power-ups to restore health and occasionally face a boss, like the massive Ectomorphicon. The pacing is quick, but the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially during some of the platforming sections.
