Micro Machines 2 on the Game Boy is basically tiny cars going way too fast on stuff like tabletops and garden paths. It’s the same top-down chaos as the first one, but with more tracks that make you feel like a reckless giant stomping through a dollhouse. You’ll dodge cereal bowls one race and skid around garden hoses the next—somehow, it never gets old.
The controls are simple, but good luck not crashing into a salt shaker or getting launched off the edge of a pool table. The AI doesn’t mess around either, so expect some brutal rubber-banding if you’re in the lead. Still, nailing a perfect drift around a pencil sharpener is weirdly satisfying.
It’s the kind of game you pick up for five minutes and end up playing for an hour.
