Mickey's Speedway USA is basically Mario Kart with Disney characters, and honestly? It holds up better than you'd think. You pick Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, or a few other Disney favorites and race through tracks based on U.S. landmarks—like the Golden Gate Bridge or Mount Rushmore, but with way more cartoonish loops and jumps.
The controls feel a little floaty at first if you're used to tighter racers, but after a race or two, you get the hang of drifting around corners and nailing those shortcuts. The power-ups are fun without being too chaotic—nothing as brutal as a blue shell here—just stuff like speed boosts and homing projectiles shaped like, of course, Mickey ears.
It’s not the deepest racer on the N64, but the tracks have personality, and the music’s got that classic Disney charm. If you ever played Diddy Kong Racing and wished it had more talking mice, this is your game.
