About Mickey's Chase (japan)
Mickey's Chase came out for the Game Boy in 1992, published by Kemco. It was one of many early portable titles that tried to translate a familiar character into a simple, pick-up-and-play format. You won't find a deep adventure here, just a straightforward puzzle game built for short sessions.
You control Mickey or Minnie Mouse, moving through single-screen levels to collect all the scattered blocks. The main objective is to clear each stage of these blocks before a timer runs out. Your primary actions involve pushing blocks around the environment; you can only push one block at a time, and getting one stuck in a corner can force a restart. The levels are filled with enemies that patrol set paths, and since you have no way to attack them, you must carefully navigate around their movements. The pacing is methodical, and the challenge comes from planning your route to avoid dead ends while outmaneuvering the enemies. It feels like a quiet, sometimes tense, test of spatial awareness.
