About Menace Beach
Menace Beach came out in 1990 for the NES, published by Color Dreams. It was part of that wave of late-era NES titles that often tried to stand out with unusual themes or concepts, existing on the fringes of the console's library.
You control a skateboarding hero on a mission to rescue your girlfriend, Bunny, after she's kidnapped by the villain Demon Dan. Your main goal is to navigate through side-scrolling levels, using your skateboard to move and jump while collecting items like bombs and bottles to throw at enemies. You face off against a strange assortment of foes, including ninjas and clowns, clearing each screen of enemies to progress. The game is known for its high difficulty and somewhat unpredictable enemy patterns, requiring precise timing and a lot of patience. Playing it feels like a constant, frantic scramble to stay alive long enough to see what comes next.
