So Last Bible II is this weird little Game Boy RPG spin-off from the Megami Tensei series—you know, the one that eventually gave us Persona. It’s got that same demon-collecting vibe, but with chunky pixel sprites and way simpler mechanics. No fancy social links here, just wandering dungeons, recruiting monsters, and fusing them into stronger ones.
Weirdly, this one never made it out of Japan, unlike the first game (which got rebranded as Revelations: The Demon Slayer in the West). The menus are a headache if you don’t know Japanese, but there’s a decent fan translation floating around if you’re determined. The music’s surprisingly catchy for a Game Boy title, though—those dungeon tunes stick with you.
It’s definitely a product of its time, but if you’re into retro dungeon crawlers or just want to see where some of SMT’s weirder side games went, it’s a neat curiosity. Just bring a guide unless you’re fluent in moon runes.
