Marmalade Boy Game

Marmalade Boy on Game Boy is one of those weird little gems that somehow makes high school drama feel like an adventure. You start off just trying to balance classes and friendships, but then suddenly you're caught in this whole tangled web of crushes, misunderstandings, and overly dramatic cafeteria confrontations.
The pixel art has that nostalgic early-90s charm—think big expressive eyes and awkwardly angled sprites during emotional scenes. At first I thought the dialogue choices wouldn't matter much, but two hours later I was reloading saves because I accidentally made the volleyball team hate me. Pro tip: bring extra snacks to share at lunch.
It's definitely janky by modern standards, but there's something oddly compelling about how seriously it takes teenage heartbreak. Just don't expect any epic boss battles unless you count finals week.
