About Majou Densetsu 2 - Daimashikyou Galious (japan)
Majou Densetsu 2 came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987, developed by Nihon Falcom. It was part of that wave of early console games where developers were figuring out how to build bigger worlds on the hardware, moving beyond simple arcade ports.
You control a warrior exploring the cursed castle Galious, room by room. Your goal is to find the three crests hidden in the dungeon to break the seal on the final boss. The game uses a screen by screen exploration system; each new screen loads as you cross the threshold, and you use a sword for close combat and a bow for attacking enemies from a distance. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is steep, demanding careful movement and resource management.
