Man, MLB Featuring Ken Griffey Jr. on N64 was my go-to baseball game back in the day. The controls just feel right—you can actually place pitches where you want them, and timing your swing takes some practice but feels super satisfying when you nail it. The graphics were pretty solid for the time, with recognizable player models (Griffey’s swing is iconic, obviously).
What I loved was how it didn’t overcomplicate things—just pick a team, choose your stadium (the night games look surprisingly good), and play. The commentary’s a bit repetitive after a while, but hearing your name called after a big hit never gets old. If you’re into classic sports games, this one holds up way better than most from the N64 era.
