Majaventure - Mahjong Senki (japan) Game

Majaventure - Mahjong Senki is one of those weird, charming NES deep cuts that mixes mahjong with RPG elements—yeah, you read that right. You start off with a basic mahjong setup, but then suddenly there’s a story about battling demons using tiles, and honestly? It’s kind of amazing. The first time I played, I expected just another solitaire-style mahjong game, but nope—you’re picking moves like you’re in a turn-based fight, and the tiles actually matter for attacks and defense.
The sprites are tiny but full of personality, and the music has that classic NES chiptune energy. It’s definitely a niche pick, but if you’re into retro oddballs or just want mahjong with a side of fantasy nonsense, this one’s a trip. I still don’t fully understand some of the mechanics, but that’s half the fun.
