Lupin Sansei - Pandora no Isan is one of those NES games that feels like a hidden gem—if you can get past the jank. You play as Lupin III, sneaking through museums and mansions, dodging guards and grabbing treasure. The controls take some getting used to (why does jumping feel so stiff?), but there's something weirdly satisfying about outsmarting patrols and cracking safes.
The levels are packed with little details—trapdoors, laser grids, even the occasional disguise mechanic. I remember getting stuck for ages on this one puzzle where you have to bait a guard into stepping on a pressure plate. Frustrating? Sure. But pulling off a perfect heist without getting caught feels great when it finally clicks.
Just don't expect it to hold your hand. This is pure 8-bit trial-and-error, complete with cryptic clues and instant-death pitfalls. Still, if you're into old-school stealth with a goofy anime vibe, it's worth a look.
