Lolo No Daibouken is one of those classic Game Boy puzzlers that’s way more addictive than it looks. You control this little blue blob (Lolo) pushing blocks, dodging enemies, and collecting hearts to unlock doors—simple at first, but the later levels get seriously devious. The Japan-only release has some quirks, like untranslated text, but the gameplay’s so intuitive it barely matters.

First few stages ease you in, teaching you how to bait enemies into traps or use blocks as shields. Then suddenly you’re staring at the screen for five minutes trying to figure out the exact order to move everything without getting cornered. It’s got that perfect “just one more level” pull.

If you’re into retro puzzle games, this one’s a hidden gem. The music’s chirpy, the sprites are charming, and it’ll absolutely wreck your brain in the best way.
