I first played Lock 'N Chase on the original Game Boy, a version released in 1990 by Taito. It was part of that early wave of portable games where simple concepts had to carry a lot of weight. You control a thief, moving through single-screen mazes to collect all the coins. The main goal is to grab every coin and then reach the exit before the cops catch you.
